Career Technical Student Organizations

Why CTSOs?

Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) provide leadership and personal development and foster community engagement. These organizations are an important component of high-quality CTE programs.

CTSOs guide students in a career pathway and provide them the skills needed to experience success in career and leadership competitions, and in conferences, and events.

Our students have the chance to hold leadership positions at the state, local, and national levels. Through student leadership, these organizations promote partnership building and engage all stakeholders in career development.

CTSOs share common activities through unique cultures and career field specializations:

  • Pathway exploration

  • Leadership skills development

  • Civic engagement

  • Competitions, awards and scholarships
