Today, April 22, 2025, marks the internationally recognized Earth Day. Subsequently, continuing the celebration is the Piedmont Earth Day fair held this Saturday, April 26, at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. Hosted by the Piedmont Environmental Alliance, the fair will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will feature leading environmentalist groups from across the triad among several organizations dedicated to sustainability.
The event will feature live music, activities, educational opportunities, interactive booths, along with hands-on opportunities and ways to participate in contributions to a more sustainable society. A highlight for many will be the finals of the Piedmont Environmental Alliance’s Environmental Debate, at which the two top high school teams from the day-long tournament in March will face off.
