Congratulations to Evelyn Wakeford, who finished in second place at the District Poet Laureate Contest last night. Everyone loved her beautiful poem entitled "Love, Simply Put" and her performance was so powerful! Evelyn, we're all very proud of you!
Jordan Samuels also performed, and his poem was well received by the audience. Both students are now published poets and have their poems in the Poet Laureate chapbook.
