On Saturday, Feb. 1, Atkins hosted the 2025 NC Scholastic Dance Festival. The dance team placed 3rd in small ensemble hip hop and took home their 1st trophy for the contemporary category, placing 3rd as well. The team also received 5 excellent ratings on all their performances including lyrical, jazz, and pom. The dance team would like to thank Mr. Becker, Mrs. Nagle, both the theater & dance department, and all the student volunteers who helped make this festival a success. A special thank you to Zaya McFarland & Dawnica Baker for their design of this year's festival. And an even bigger thank you to Sylvia Wright for organizing the event.
