Atkins Academic & Technology High School

Throughout the week of October 21-25, many teachers across Atkins HS participated in the 2024 Door Decorating Contest held by the College Foundation of North Carolina, or CFNC, brightening the school's halls with vibrant colors. The theming of the decorated doors ranged from a variety of college-level sports teams to a zombie outbreak as teachers, in some cases with help from their students, created unique designs with hopes of winning a place on the podium amongst Atkins staff. On Friday, October 25, the winners of the CFNC Door Decorating Contest were announced, with Latoya Scott, Tyriq Evans, and Maggie Bessel claiming the titles of first, second, and third place respectively.
