After reading the novel Number The Stars by Lois Lowry, Mrs. Ellington's 5th grade class did a culminating project by choosing two activities from a menu of options.  The most popular choices were creating a map with all the important setting details from the story, an acrostic poem using the word "Bravery", writing an extra chapter to the book with what they believed would happen if the story continued, and designing a new book jacket with important details and a summary on the back.  A few others created a quote quilt, a Danish Resistance poster and a presentation of character traits of Anne Marie and Ellen.  They loved reading this tale about two friends and the bravery they had to show during the Holocaust.  student projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projectsstudent projects
