In the fall of 2024, I reached out to the Boy Scout troop of 944 in Kernersville. I asked if they had any scouts needing a project for their Eagle Scout Badge. This is where I met Sebastian. I shared with him my excitement over a Buddy Bench and a Tic-Tac-Toe board. Over the next several months Sebastian worked fundraising, purchasing supplies, and building our Buddy Bench and Tic-tac-toe board. It will be stained in the next couple of weeks, but they are both ready to be used. We are so excited. This is a project I have wanted for our students for a long time. I will be sharing a lesson with our students this week over the purpose of the Buddy Bench. We are so excited to have this added equipment to our playground.
