On November 21st the Math 2 MYP students held their Math Expo with the theme, "Playing with Mathematics." Math 2 MYP students presented their creative applications on Math through games, inventions, instructional materials, arts, data analysis and more. This event offered students the opportunity to think deeply about mathematics as it applies to everyday lifeand enhanced their communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
Most students ask Math teachers why it is necessary to learn polynomials, algebra, statistics, and probability or how can they pay bills through algebra. The Math Expo project provided a time to explore or discover more on the real essence or importance of math through applications and share it to their fellow students.
