Due to predicted high wind gusts and the potential for flash flooding and tornadoes from Hurricane Helene during student and staff arrivals in the morning, WS/FCS will be closed for students and staff on Friday, September 27.

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has approved La Quisha Henry-Linder as the new principal of Northwest Middle School. Henry-Linder began with WS/FCS in 2005 as a teacher at Atkins High School, where she worked for 12 years. She served as a principal intern at Flat Rock Middle School before becoming an assistant principal at North Forsyth High School from 2018 to 2023. She is currently serving as assistant principal at Mineral Springs Middle School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University and a Master of Education degree from High Point University. Congratulations to Mrs. Henry-Linder She begins her new role on July 1.
