Today kicked off our exciting Career Week with Vehicle Day and our first set of presenters! Jefferson Elementary transformed into a hub of wheels as we celebrated the incredible careers behind these mighty machines. Jefferson Elementary would like to thank everyone who made Vehicle Day such an extraordinary success!

bowen class  Third Grade teacher, Ms. Bowen's dad brought the equipment he uses with his landscaping business and taught our students about the important role landscaping plays in shaping and beautifying our surroundings.

EC Teacher, Mrs. Hicks' husband came from the Winston-Salem Police Department and brought his police cruiser. He gave students a firsthand look at the important role law enforcement plays in keeping us safe.

kim and puppyKim Williams brought her new puppy-in-training to be a search and rescue dog, thank you for showing students the vital role you play in finding and helping those in need.

viennaThe Vienna Volunteer Fire Department brought their firetruck and shared the tools and equipment they use to protect our community.

Servpro showcased their disaster response expertise showed our students the power of compassion and innovation in helping others. They brought along their friends at Horizon Construction. Thanks for joining us!

During specials today, students learned about several careers, including careers in the medical field, architecture, radio broadcasting and design. THANK YOU parents and family members who shared their career with the students today!
