On the last days before winter break, Mrs. Heinmuller and Robinson’s reading students participated in a Syllable Surgery. We donned surgical gear and did hands on activities to break apart and repair multi-syllabic words. We have learned all 6 syllable types in our groups: open and closed, consonant le, r controlled, magic e, and vowel teams. This was a great way to review, check for understanding, and have a blast.
