Congratulations to Ms. Tonya Allison, Band/Music Teacher, who received a Delta Kappa Gamma Grant to attend the American Orff-Schulwerk Association Professional Development Conference in Des Moines, Iowa.

The instruments associated with Orff-Schulwerk music education include: Xylophones, Metallophones, Glockenspiels, Chime Bars, Bells, Recorders, Bass bars, and Resonator Bells.

The Orff-Schulwerk method was created by Carl Orff in the 1920s, and is based on the idea that people should learn music in a natural and playful way. The approach also involves children singing, clapping, dancing, and snapping their fingers along with the music. T Allisoninstruments
