Safe Sober Winner

What began as a typical afternoon at Career Center, turned into an unforgettable surprise for Carver High School junior Christopher Pegelow. On Wednesday, March 5th, Pegelow was stunned to learn that he had been named the winner of the 2025 Safe Sober T-Shirt Challenge, an annual contest sponsored by the attorneys at Daggett Shuler.

To recognize his achievement, Pegelow was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support his academic future. His Adobe Visual Design Class also received $1,000 for instructional supplies, celebrating the shared effort and creativity behind his success.

In a conversation with WS/FCS Cable 2 Photojournalist Kevin Wrenn, Pegelow expressed how meaningful the win was, not just as an achievement, but for its deeper personal significance. He emphasized that his commitment to promoting safety and sobriety is something he holds close to his heart. Pegelow also took the opportunity to thank Carver High School for playing a pivotal role in helping him turn his life around for the better.

This victory not only marks a major milestone in Pegelow academic journey but also highlights his dedication to making a positive impact on his community.
