Jazz 3 is for students who have completed at least one full year in Jazz 2 (Intermediate). Students will learn how to improvise through music. Students will receive extensive training in aural skills, music theory and jazz history. Students will be assigned written assignments on a weekly basis. Students will perform at a minimum of two concerts each year. Written assignments will be more difficult than assignments from Jazz 2.
