Civil Engineering and Architecture
(AP-weighted) This course provides an overview of the fields of Civil Engineering and Architecture while emphasizing the interrelationship and dependence of these fields. Students use state of the art software to solve real world problems and communicate solutions in hands-on projects and activities. Topics covered include the roles of civil engineers and architects, project planning, site planning, building design and project documentation and presentation. Prerequisite: Introduction to Engineering Design, Common Core Math 3 (Geometry).
Students considering this course may benefit from having had Art 1 or 3D Art for Engineering.
