We are truly grateful and blessed to have the community partners we have supporting Ibraham Elementary School students and their families. Every year, they ensure that our students and families who are in need have a wonderful holiday season.
This year for Thanksgiving, Epiphany Church provided 40 meals, which included a turkey and three bags full of groceries. In addition, the NAACP provided two families with a huge thanksgiving feast.
The district also partnered with Bank of America this year to provide nonperishable food and new shoes via the "Soles4Souls" program for select students who have housing and food insecurities.
For Christmas, community partners including Santa's Helpers, Toys for Tots, and Epiphany Church will provide over 152 students and their siblings with presents this year. To meet this demand, the student service team, led by School Social Worker Jennifer Applegate, coordinated and facilitated multiple toy and food distribution days and times for families to pick up their gifts and will do home visits if needed.
We are truly grateful for the ongoing efforts of our student services team and the support from our community partners on behalf of Ibraham Elementary students and families!
