The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education will tour the new Konnoak Middle School at 410 Haverhill Street in Winston-Salem at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Konnoak Middle, formerly known as Philo-Hill Magnet Academy, is in the final stages of reconstruction. The board will get to see the progress being made prior to the official opening in January 2025. No action is expected.
Following the tour, the board and district staff will attend a budget kick-off meeting at 2 p.m. in room 223 of the WS/FCS Education Building at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem. No action is expected.
Later, the board will hold its regularly scheduled meetings. The Buildings & Grounds Committee work session will begin at 4:00 p.m. The Policy Committee work session will begin at 4:45 p.m. Committee meetings will take place in room 223.
Closed session of the full board will begin at 5:30 p.m. and open session begins at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
