Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools has named Pamela Henderson as the new Director of Magnet Schools.

She has been with WS/FCS since 2009. Prior to this role, Henderson served as an English teacher and has been the Arts Magnet Director at R.J. Reynolds High School since 2019.

She completed coursework for her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Appalachian State University with a focus on employing curriculum standards to promote equity in education.

Henderson is a member of Magnet Schools of America's Project Workgroup for Research and Writing, where she contributes to advancing national standards and best practices for magnet schools nationwide.

She began her new role on September 16.
