The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education has approved Amanda Lehmert as the new WS/FCS Chief Communications Officer.
Lehmert is a communications professional with more than 20 years of experience in public relations and journalism. She most recently served as a senior communications specialist for the City of Greensboro, where she provided communications and marketing support for five departments and two offices since 2016.
She graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in print journalism. She was an award-winning journalist who worked for daily newspapers in North Carolina, Massachusetts and Connecticut for 12 years.
Lehmert begins her new role on August 14.
