The Superintendent’s Parent/Guardian Advisory Council meets quarterly and gives parents a stronger voice in decisions that impact our students.  The committee will meet with the superintendent and aid her and the district in making well informed decisions that help WS/FCS become the best place for students to learn. The council is made up of a diverse group of parents and guardians that are representative of our student population. Districtwide WS/FCS student population is 34% white, 29.4% African American, 29% Hispanic, 5% multiracial, 2.7% Asian, and less than 1% American Indian or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander. The goal of the committee is to make sure that the council members represent the diverse cultures, languages and needs of WS/FCS students. Ten individuals from each learning area are chosen with a focus on making sure we have representatives from each school level, elementary, middle, and high.  The council will serve a one-year term before a new council is selected.

To qualify you must be a parent or guardian of a student currently enrolled within WS/FCS.  This is a one-year commitment as a new council will be selected in May for the following school year.
