2024-2025 District Science Fair Informational Packet

Elementary Projects should use the new NCSEF Elementary EZ Registration Form. 

All projects must still follow the ISEF Rules and Regulations with special permissions for projects with human subjects, animals with backbones (vertebrates), microorganisms, and potential harmful materials. (Society For Science. Students are encouraged to use the ISEF Rules Wizard to confirm that they have followed the requirements for their project.

For the WS/FCS District Science and Engineering Fair, students compete in division competitions: Secondary (Grades 6-12) and Elementary (Grades K-5). WS/FCS Science Fairs will be held on back-to-back days. 

Elementary K-5 Science Fair: Thursday, January 16 , 2025

• Check-In and project set-up: 8:30am-9:15am

• K-2 Judging: 9:30am-10:30am

• 3-5 Judging: 10:30am-11:30am

• Awards: 11:45am-12:15pm

• Project removal: 12:15pm

Secondary 6-12 Science Fair: Friday, January 17, 2025

• Check-In and project set-up: 8:45am-9:30AM

• Judging: 9:45am-11:00am

• Snack: 11:00am-11:45am

• Awards: 11:45am-12:15pm

• Project removal: 12:15pm
