Our Preschool Program
Vision and Mission
At WSFCS Preschool, our main objective is to provide young children with developmentally, culturally, and individually appropriate instruction. We strive to create a child-centered environment that promotes learning through exploration and discovery. We understand that parents play a crucial role as the child's first teachers, and we aim to support the overall development of each child - socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. We acknowledge that every child has unique rates of development, backgrounds, and experiences, so we value and respect each child's individual journey. Play is highly regarded as a valuable tool for learning in our preschool, and we follow the NC Foundations for Early Learning as our standard course of study. We utilize various curricula, such as the Creative Curriculum, TSG, Second Step Curriculum, and Scope and Sequence, to guide our learning experiences. We also provide individualized support to address IEP goals as needed.
