Visual & Performing Arts
Arts opportunities include orchestra, band, visual arts, dance, choral music and drama. Some arts magnet schools offer additional courses such as film making, photography, piano, guitar, animation and gymnastics.

Dual Language Immersion (Spanish)
The program goals for all students are bilingualism, biliteracy, high academic achievements, and sociocultural competence. DLI programs allow students to learn content such as Math, Science, and Social Studies through another language. Immersion programs begin in Kindergarten and students aquire the target language, such as Spanish, though a natural process of language acquisition.
