Process to Request Translation Services

Each staff member within WS/FCS who needs translation services should complete a request using the link below.  Written Translations (written documents, such as handbooks, parent notifications, etc.):

  1. The school submits a Request for Translation form attaching the document to be. (Preferably MS Word format in order to avoid changes to the original format of the document).

  2. All requests must be submitted at least two to three weeks in advance. However, WS/FCS understands that an emergency could arise and we will coordinate accordingly.

  3. The EL Parent Engagement Manager for the district coordinates with the translator(s) to complete the requested document.

  4. The EL Parent Engagement Manager will send the translated document once it is completed.

Translation Priorities
Because of the demand for translations and available resources, we have to prioritize our translation support in the following ways.

  • Parent/school notification

  • IEPs meeting summary, PEPs, etc.

  • Discipline referrals/parent meeting with administration

  • Social Worker service requests

  • Psychological Service requests

  • Emergencies upon request
