Process to Request Interpretation Services

Each staff member within WS/FCS who needs interpretation services should complete a request using the link below .

Interpretation (in-person, oral or spoken):

  1. The school submits an online Interpreter Request form.

  2. All requests must be submitted at least three weeks in advance. However, WS/FCS understands that an emergency could arise and we will coordinate accordingly.

  3. For parent meetings (IEP, parent/teacher conference, etc), the EL Parent Engagement Manager for the district coordinates with the interpreter(s) who will follow up with the parents to ensure their attendance at the requested meeting.

  4. The EL Parent Engagement Manager will notify the school once the meeting is confirmed.  

Interpretation Priorities
Because of the demand for interpretation and available resources, we have to prioritize our interpretation support in the following ways.

  • Parent/School meetings (IEPs, Parent/Teacher conferences)

  • Discipline referrals/parent meeting with administration

  • Social Worker requests

  • Psychological Service requests

  • Emergencies upon request
