Overview

WS/FCS received generous funding from the Wallace Foundation to establish an equity-centered principal pipeline. This pipeline serves to ensure that we employ highly effective educators to lead our schools.

The Talent Acquisition Process (TAP) serves to identify qualified candidates for the principal talent pool. Candidates must demonstrate proficient leadership competencies as outlined in the WS/FCS Equity-Driven Leadership Framework.

Eligibility

To qualify for the assistant principal talent pool, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold or be able to hold current NC Administrator Licensure

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience

  • Have a favorable supervisor recommendation

  • Received ratings of at least “Proficient” on all standards on most recent summative evaluation

  • Successfully complete the Readiness Assessments, scored blindly by a panel of current administrators

  • Successfully complete the Interview, scored by a panel of current administrators
