Peachjar Electronic Flyer Distribution Information for Community Partners/Program Providers

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools works with Peachjar to share electronic flyers from our community partners (program providers) with our students and their families. 

Guidelines and Approval Process

  • Create an account at the Peachjar website - register as a "Program Provider"

  • Upload your flyer(s) for approval - Here's How

  • YOU MUST INCLUDE THE DISCLAIMER: All flyers must include the following disclaimerFor Information Only. This is not a program of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. It is not endorsed or supported by the school system. 

  • Apply the service fee - Peachjar charges a fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.

The Approval Process - A member of WS/FCS will approve the flyers which promote:

  • Activities for families and students that are sponsored by organizations who support our schools

  • Events which align to the vision, mission, and core values of our district which benefit student learning

  • Opportunities which support education beyond the classroom

General Guidelines for Flyers:

  • Information posted cannot be in violation of Board policy, state or federal law. 

  • Will only be posted for nonprofit organizations. Exceptions MAY be approved by WS/FC Schools. 

  • Will be for student events within the district.

  • Official proof of nonprofit status must be provided upon request by Peachjar and/or WS/FC Schools.

Approval Guidelines as outlined by the policy include: 

Youth Sports Organizations are allowed to send one targeted flyer to students during their sports season.

Daycare providers: School-sponsored childcare programs, including the YMCA and the YWCA, may use the system to advertise and promote their programs. All other childcare providers are limited to posting advertisements on a school's community bulletin boards or purchasing advertisements. They also may be listed on the Forsyth County Smart Start websites. (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. If approved, Instructions on making copies and then distribution to schools for bulletin boards/offices as policy allows will follow.  Please note while it may be approved, posting is subject to space and principal discretion.)

Educational/Cultural Organizations are limited to one targeted student flyer per semester.

For-Profit Business, Vocational and Technical Schools may only place advertisements and promotional materials in guidance offices, attend student job fairs or purchase advertisements. (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. If approved, Instructions on making copies and then distribution to schools for bulletin boards/offices as policy allows will follow.  Please note while it may be approved, posting is subject to space and principal discretion.)

Non-Profit Arts Organizations are limited to one targeted student flyer per semester. They also may announce arts program dates, times and places on the WS/FCS Cable 2 bulletin board.

Tutoring Services, whether non-profit or for-profit, are limited to posting advertisements on a school's bulletin boards and purchasing advertisements. (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. If approved, Instructions on making copies and then distribution to schools for bulletin boards/offices as policy allows will follow.  Please note while it may be approved, posting is subject to space and principal discretion.)

Summer Camps, whether non-profit or for-profit, are limited to posting advertisements on a school's bulletin boards and purchasing advertisements. (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. Non-Profit Health Organizations are limited to targeted student flyer distribution on an as-needed basis. They also may make public service announcements on the WS/FCS Cable 2 bulletin board.

For-Profit Health Organizations are limited to posting advertisements on a school's bulletin boards and purchasing advertisements. (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. Youth Service Organizations are limited to one targeted student mail distribution per school year. They also may post advertisement and promotional materials on bulletin boards and purchase advertisements.

Employee Benefits and Wellness Providers are limited to placing materials in employee lounges.  (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. If approved, Instructions on making copies and then distribution to schools for bulletin boards/offices as policy allows will follow.  Please note while it may be approved, posting is subject to space and principal discretion.)

Employee Discount Coupons are limited to placement in employee lounges and on employee bulletin boards. (While policy doesn't allow mass distribution to students, you can email the flyer to Amanda Lehmert for bulletin board approval. If approved, Instructions on making copies and then distribution to schools for bulletin boards/offices as policy allows will follow.  Please note while it may be approved, posting is subject to space and principal discretion.)

Flyers cannot contain:

  • website addresses with for-profit information, for-profit logos, religious or political information included on the website.

  • Information which would publicize or promote a particular political party, political organization or political viewpoint

  • Information which would publicize or promote a particular church, religious organization or religious viewpoint

  • Information on the use or sale of materials or services that are illegal or inconsistent with school objectives, including, but not limited to, materials or advertisements for tobacco, intoxicants, and movies or products unsuitable for children

  • Information which would could put the district on any side of a controversial issue.

Format Guidelines

  • Flyer Distribution Format Requirements:

  • Be uploaded in .PDF format

  • Be in portrait orientation- 8.5 x 11

  • must be 4 pages or less

  • cannot exceed a file size of 6MB.

  • Embedded links within a flyer are not supported. Learn how to include links with your flyer
