"How to Unmake a Bully" - student films

"How to Unmake a Bully" was written by filmaker Michael Feurstein during the 2010-2011 school year while he was a Teacher Aide in Schenectady, NY. 4th and 5th grade students at Glendall Elementary School served as cast and crew. There were two more volumes produced by students at Glendaal ES before five more were created at other schools. The original 8-volume series "How to Unmake a Bully" earned Telly and Sage College Champion of Character Awards and endorsements form the Kids' Coalition for Quality Children's Media, The Anti-Defamation League, CBS-6 and many more. (All volumes as well as behind-the-scenes features can be found on YouTube.)

These students hope to shed light on the issues of bullying, and help anyone who might be experiencing the effects of bullying whether victim, perpetrator or witness. They present skills and tips we can all use to stop bullying and deal with stresses while becoming better friends and allies.
