Assistant Principal
Eligibility
To qualify for the assistant principal talent pool, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Hold or be able to hold current NC Administrator Licensure
Have a minimum of 3 years of teaching/educational experience
Have a favorable supervisor recommendation
Received ratings of at least “Proficient” on all standards on most recent summative evaluation
Successfully complete the Readiness Assessments, scored blindly by a panel of current administrators
Successfully complete the Interview, scored by a panel of current administrators

Year 2: Appalachian State University Leadership Academy for select candidates
