Driver's Ed

How to Register for Driver's Ed

Driver's Education registrations are done online through the North Carolina Driving School.  For a list of available classes and locations, Visit NC Driving School or call 800-375-6550.

Upon completing  your Driver's Education written and in car, and before you go to DMV to get your driving permit, you will need to have a NC Driving Eligibility Certificate from Students Services. To receive a NC Driving Eligibility Certificate a parent must bring the student’s Driver Education Completion Certificate and a copy of birth certificate to the Student Services office. The NC Driving Eligibility Certificate form requires a parent signature. North Carolina State law requires students under the age of 18 to have adequate academic progress to be eligible to obtain and keep a driving permit or license.
