Career & College Promise (Dual Enrollment)

Are you interested in taking college level courses in high school?  Current Juniors and Seniors can explore options through the Forsyth Tech website. Students should register for a Virtual Information Session to learn about these opportunities BEFORE starting the application process. To qualify for CCP courses, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 16 with unweighted 2.8 GPA

Follow these steps if you meet the criteria:

  1. Register for one of the available Virtual Information Sessions https://explore.forsythtech.edu/event/forsythtech.events.178208. This session that will explain the program, answer questions, and direct them how to complete the application process

  2. Review the pathways available through CCP – You must select a pathway prior to submitting your application as it is a required field on the CFNC application for CCP. 

  3. Complete the online application - The online application requires you to have a CFNC account. If you’ve already created one, you’re one step ahead!   

      

  4. Share which pathway you have selected with your assigned School Counselor so the required High School Agreement Form can be submitted.

  5. If you plan to take courses in the Fall (2025), use this link to register for upcoming registration events (details below): https://explore.forsythtech.edu/event/592185.

     20-minute virtual registration sessions for new dual enrollment students will be held on March 12th, 13th, and 14th for the Fall 2025 Term. Please use the link above to register for a time that works best for you. 

Please be aware of the following:

  • Courses count for both high school and college credit are available if worth 3 credit hours or more

  • These courses begin your permanent college transcript

  • Course are transferable to 4-year NC public colleges & universities with a “C” or better

  • Tuition and books are no cost; must pay fees only

  • Application required via Forsyth Tech webpage

  • Courses weight value  - additional 1 quality point

  • Contact your assigned School Counselor to express interest in CCP courses

A Forsyth Tech Recruitment & Retention Specialist will work with West Student Services Staff to provide individual assistance to students interested in these opportunities.

Please use the Dual Credit Allowance document as your guide when determining which courses at Forsyth Tech allow high school credit.
