Mr. Bailey proudly serves as an assistant principal, under the leadership of Stephanie Gentry at Southeast Middle School located in Kernersville, North Carolina. He acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Virginia, a Master of Science degree from High Point University in High Point, North Carolina and a Post-Master’s certificate in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Aaron Bailey has worked in numerous facets of education throughout his careers. Bailey first began a career with the City of Winston-Salem Parks and Recreation Department where he worked as a Recreation Center leader and later became a Recreation Center Director at Carl H. Russell Community Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He later decided to begin a career in education with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system. He began his career at Sedge Garden Elementary School and later accepted a full-time position as a Physical Education, Health, Life Skills teacher and the Assistant Athletic Director at Carver High School. His passion for young people led him to accept the position as the Director of Athletics at Carver High School. After leading the Department of Athletic to several conference, district, sectional, regional and state runner up titles in multiple sports, Aaron progressed in his educational career and was accepted into the prestigious Piedmont Triad Leadership Academy. While completing PTLA, Aaron had the opportunity to receive his formal training as a principal intern at Hanes Magnet School under the leadership of Melita Wise.

In regards to young people and education, Mr. Bailey believes that parents send their best and trust that educators are committed and dedicated to the success of every learner. He firmly believes that it is imperative to cultivate the dreams of learners by supporting them in not only the content areas but also with specific skills that will guide them towards advancement and success in the next building block in their life. He is convinced that it is equally important to develop appropriate relationships built on trust, mutual respect and an understanding that one’s education is critical in every component of his or her life. Mr. Bailey is honored to serve the families and community members of Southeast Middle School.
