The school counselors provide individual counseling related to a variety of emotional, social, and academic issues.  They frequently collaborate with other professionals such as the school social worker, school nurse, and school psychologist in order to assess students' needs in a comprehensive manner and for the purpose of effective and efficient response to student concerns.  The school counselors desire is to help students develop their talents and interests via the academic experience while gaining an understanding of themselves.

In addition to offering individual counseling, school counselors advise students regarding course selections, promotion standards, and graduation requirements while assisting with post-high school planning and preparation.

The Office of Student Services operates from 8:10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. each day; students see their counselor by appointment except in emergency, crisis situations, or during lunch.  Students are welcome to drop by the counseling office any time during a non-core class without an appointment, but there is no guarantee their counselor will be available to see them.  Parents should call the office, or sign up on the Reagan webpage to make an appointment when they want to meet with their child's counselor or if they would like to schedule a parent/teacher conference. Parent/teacher conferences are held at 8:10 a.m. or at a time mutually agreeable between parent and teacher.
