How to brag about yourself to colleges, employers, and scholarship committees. Complete your Senior Brag Sheet ASAP. This is your opportunity to brag about yourself and help your School Counselor write your recommendation letter. Brag sheets are due by DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED!

About scholarships and financial aid. Check this website monthly for updates to Parkland's Scholarship Newsletters. Make sure you visit individual college websites for information on scholarship programs specific to those schools. Prepare to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in December 2023 using 2022 tax returns. More information about the FAFSA can be found at FAFSA. When & Why to take the SAT and/or the ACT. Seniors planning to attend college should have already taken one of these tests, but may wish to take them one more time during the fall of their senior year. Click on this link to read more about the differences between the ACT and SAT.
Your graduation requirements! The Class of 2025 needs the following credits to graduate:
4 Credits English (English 1, 2, 3, 4)
4 Credits Math (Math 1, 2, 3 and a 4th math aligned w/ post-grad goals
3 Credits Science (Earth/Env. Science, Biology, a physical science)
4 Credits Social Studies (World History, Civics, American History 1 & 2)
4 Credits Electives (Career Technical, JROTC, Foreign Language, Performing & Visual Arts, Core Electives)
2 credits MUST be CTE or Visual & Performing Arts
2 credits of the SAME WORLD LANGUAGE are required for UNC Admissions
1 Credit Health/PE
PE 2/Health
22 Credits minimum required for Graduation
