North Forsyth High School is nestled in a canopy of trees at the end of a long tree-lined drive located at 5705 Shattalon Drive in Winston-Salem, NC.  Presently, it is one of sixteen high schools in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, with a Health Magnet Program, enrolling and educating approximately 1000 students per year in grades 9 through 12.

At present, the school has 65 faculty members and offers a wide variety of courses at various levels, including Honors, Seminar, Advanced Placement, and Magnet Programs.  The courses provide multiple pathways and opportunities for students to excel in their academics while also pursuing extracurricular activities. North offers many clubs and organizations in a variety of interest levels, along with honor societies for each academic area.  It is home to a successful visual and performing arts program.  North is currently the only high school to participate in the First Tech Challenge of robotics.

The organizations allow all students to engage in the School Community, pursuing individual interests, career networking opportunities, and social camaraderie while enhancing their leadership, organization, and management skills during their academic career.  North Forsyth is committed in cultivating a school culture of Excellence where all our students will graduate prepared to impact their communities through career and college success. It is our mission to challenge students through authentic learning experiences, provide students with the tools for academic and career success, and prepare students to positively impact their communities.

North Forsyth has had one of the most storied athletic programs in Forsyth County since the opening in 1963. Currently, a member of the Mid-State 2-A conference, the sports programs continue to appeal to many Vikings with a variety of varsity and junior varsity sports.  It has won four state championships, two regional championships, and produced many All-American athletes in its history in the collegiate and professional realm. Since 2009, North Forsyth has won five titles in boys basketball, seven in boys soccer, two in boys swimming, and one in girls swimming.
