Greetings Lewisville Middle School!

My name is Dorothy Johnson, and I am honored to serve the students, staff, and all stakeholders of Lewisville Middle School as an assistant principal.  The 2024-2025 school year marks the start of my 19th year in education.  After receiving my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Concord University (Athens, WV.), I joined the work force and never looked back.  As education began to shift, I decided to better serve students, staff and stakeholders I needed to continue my personal growth.  I went on to obtain a Master’s in Reading Education from North Carolina A&T University (Greensboro, NC.) and a Master’s in Administration & Supervision from University of Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ.).

I started my career in education with Roanoke City Public Schools in Virginia as a classroom teacher and after two years I relocated to North Carolina.  Since relocating I have had the pleasure of serving students, staff and stakeholders in multiple ways through various positions and special programs offered through local universities.

I am extremely excited and delighted to be a part of the Lewisville Middle School Family and I look forward to an amazing school year!

Hello Lewisville Middle School!

My name is Andy Obermann and I am honored to serve the students, staff and families of LMS as assistant principal.  This is my 20th year in education, 18 being in North Carolina.  I began coaching and teaching history in NC in 2006 at East Forsyth High School before moving to Hanes Magnet School.  2024-2025 will be my 10th year as an assistant principal with time at South Davie Middle and Hanes Magnet School before having the privilege to serve at LMS.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO and Master’s in School Administration from Western Carolina University.  My wife and I have been married 19 years and have one son in elementary school.  Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family – I enjoy fishing, building projects, gardening, and hiking.

I am excited to be a part of the LMS family and look forward to an outstanding 2024-2025 school year!

In 2010, my family and I settled in Winston-Salem, where I have been dedicated to teaching English as a Second Language.

On a personal note, my wife and I have three children. Our eldest daughter is a Kindergarten Teacher, our son is an Architect, and our youngest daughter is currently attending Reagan High School.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Lewisville Middle School community and look forward to getting to know the students, staff, and families. Together, we will strive for excellence and create a supportive and enriching environment for all.
