All Things Testing at TJMS

TJMS Testing Coordinator - Desiree Garretson

Originally from Pfafftown NC, I moved to Davie County, NC back in 2008 as a child and went to Davie High School. After graduating, I worked in the medical field for roughly 10 years. During that time, I decided I wanted to go back to school and get a degree in teaching. I got a job as a data manager while pursuing my associate's degree in teacher prep from Forsyth Tech Community College. I worked as a data manager for 2 years when I decided to come to Thomas Jefferson Middle School and work as a teacher's assistant.

While I have loved working with my students and will miss them greatly, an opportunity opened, and I decided to become the new testing coordinator. I am currently earning my bachelor's degree in middle school mathematics, and I believe my new role will play a big part in my future endeavors. All whilst going to school and working full-time, I am raising a family with my husband Chris. We have three beautiful children, Aivley (9), Cesley (7), and Ruger (5 Months). I am so excited for this new role and am happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have regarding testing.

All students in WSFCS are required to take standardized tests throughout the year. Below is a list of the required tests students will take during the year. All tests are taken online.
