I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Eugenia Saahir and I am honored to be your School Counselor at Hall-Woodward Elementary school. I earned my undergraduate degree from Salem College in Communications with a concentration in Not-for-Profit Management in 2014, and in 2018, I graduated with a Masters in Education in School Counseling K-12. I have over 20 years of experience working as an Administrative Assistant in Corporate America, State Government, and school systems in both Illinois and North Carolina. I began my WSFCS career at Parkland Magnet High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where I worked for 12.5 years. It was my excellent communications skills and ability to solve problems that were the catalyst in making the career change to school Counseling. I have been dedicated and committed to this work for over four years, here at Hall-Woodward Elementary. I am married, the mother of three adult children and three wonderful grandchildren. I am constantly being tested in the art of helping. I believe in the mission of closing the academic achievement gap for all students, regardless of their backgrounds.
I will provide counseling services covering a number of areas such as: goal setting, career options, problem solving, friendship, cooperation, character education. Over the years, my service has expanded. I am your MTSS and IST representative, 504 Coordinator and AIG specialist. I look forward to serving you and your students. Please contact the school counseling office if you have any needs or concerns regarding your student. Thank you again for this great opportunity to serve.
