We specialize in providing a rigorous and advanced curriculum to prepare students for AP courses and admission to competitive universities.  We work to tailor instruction, clubs, and activities to your child's individual needs and interests.

As a magnet school, students from across our county may choose to take advantage of this high-level hands-on curriculum.  In addition, Hanes students may choose from Latin, German, and Spanish as foreign language options. Latin proves particularly beneficial for boosting ACT/SAT scores and for students anticipating future careers in the scientific or medical fields.

The STEM program at Hanes is focused around math, science, technology and pre-engineering.  Students may elect to take Project Lead the Way (PLTW) as an elective.  PLTW is specifically designed to be a hands-on course encouraging students to pursue 21st century careers. 

In addition to our specialized curriculum, Hanes offers the full slate of extra-curricular opportunities for students.  Students may choose to participate in our highly-esteemed arts programs, including band, orchestra and chorus.  Athletic offerings include cross country, tennis, volleyball, soccer, baseball, basketball, softball and cheerleading.  Hanes offers a variety of club opportunities based on student interest, including First Lego League Robotics (FLL), Technology Student Association (TSA), Math Club, and many more.
