SUMMER BLOG/PAYROLL INFO

Even in the summer we like to keep you informed. Please find below email from Kerry Crutchfield concerning payroll changes. I have placed in bold the information specific to classified employees.

Subject: Pay Date for Teachers Next Year

I imagine many teachers are now home for the summer, but the Governor this week signed into law the Bill that repeals the no prepayment of teachers provision that was adopted in last year's Budget Bill.  Therefore, teachers and all other licensed employees who work less than 12 months will receive their first full paycheck next school year on August 31, just like this past year.

The only significant payroll cycle change for next school year involves classified employees now.  Since next year's calendar starts so much later in August (August 20th), classified employees that work less than 12 months will be paid their first full paycheck on September 19th and on the 19th of each succeeding month, unless the 19th falls on a weekend or Holiday.
