School system to auction off old items from Career Center on Jan. 21
JANUARY 5, 2011 - Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will be auctioning off items that didn't make the move to the new Career Center at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21.
The auction will be held at the Career Center's old location at 1605 Miller Street. The items being sold are supplies that were replaced or unnecessary when the school moved over the holiday break. Forsyth Tech bought the old location for classroom space, and the school system used the money from the sale to build a new Career Center on Highland Court.
Included in the auction are two propeller driven planes, an electric car, shop and tooling equipment, and classroom and office furniture.
