The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting at 3:45 Sunday at Moore Magnet Elementary School. The board will meet to take action on the naming of the media center at Moore.
The board will already be gathered at Moore (451 Knollwood Street, Winston-Salem) for a retirement reception for former board member Geneva Brown. Brown retired from the board in April after 18 years on the board and 38 years working for the district, including 19 years as principal of Moore. The reception is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
