Wolfpack Preview

 

Good afternoon,  This is Dr. Jones principal of Walkertown High School with the Wolfpack Preview for the week

 

On Tuesday:

  • Benchmark testing will begin and run through Friday. These will be assessments to prepare students for final exams.  Please make sure your child is present and well rested.

 

  • We will once again host the Special Olympics Spring Games. Students will need to park in the front staff parking lot through Thursday. The gate at the back entrance will be closed due to activities. Please remind your child if he/she drives.

 

  • Safe and Sober Prom Night representatives will be at lunch to distribute pledge cards and T-shirts.

 

Walkertown High School's theatre department will have two public performances of the one-act comedy, 15 REASONS NOT TO BE IN A PLAY by Alan Haehnel.  This is a family friendly comedy for all ages about the trials of being on stage in a play as a young actor.  Performances:  April 28 at 7:00 p.m. and April 30 at 3:00 p.m. General Admission: $5.00

 

We will have our Junior and Senior Prom on Saturday at the Benton Convention Center from 7 till 11P.M. If you have not purchased your ticket please do so this week. You must have a ticket to enter. Price is $60. Please see Mrs. Johnson or Mrs. Slayton.

 

Attention All Potential/Current Football Players: Meeting Monday, right after school in weight room to discuss Spring Football Schedule and Summer Schedule. Attendance is Required

 

Relay for Life will be held at WHS on May 19th from 6pm until midnight.  Please come support this worthwhile cause. More detail to come.

 

Sports of the Week:

 

Monday:  Golf will participate in the Conference Golf Tournament all day.

 

Tennis vs. East Surry at home with a match at 4:30

 

Soccer vs. North Iredell at home with a game at 6

 

Softball vs East Wilkes also at home with a game at 6

 

Tuesday:  Varsity Baseball plays Atkins at home with a game at 6 pm.

 

Wednesday: Tennis will participate in a two day  NWC Tournament in Mount Airy.

 

Baseball will travel to East Forsyth with the JV to begin at 4:30 and the Varsity to immediately follow.

 

Softball will travel to Rockingham County with game time at 6:00 pm

 

Thursday:  Track will travel to Atkins with a meet to start at 4:30 pm

 

Soccer will remain at home against N. Stokes with game time at 6:00 pm

 

JV Baseball will travel to Oak Level with a game also at 6 pm.

 

Friday:  Soccer travels to Bishop McGuinness with a game at 5

 

Varsity Baseball plays Atkins away with a game at 5:30.
