Overall, the career fair held on Tuesday March 8, 2016 turned out to be a huge success. Student Teachers from UNCG decided to host a career fair at Hall Woodward for their Leadership project in efforts to expose the students to an experience they have not had before. Providing the students with exposure of different careers as well as an educational learning experience made the Student Teachers even more excited to plan and facilitate the event.

For the morning shift students from grades 3rd - 5th were exposed to a chemist, nurse, nutritionist, therapist, news anchor, community leader, social worker, and firefighters from Station 8 Fire Department. In the afternoon grades K-2nd were given the opportunity to listen to a police officer, a fashion designer, counselor, and a representative from the Salvation Army. Students enjoyed listening to the different careers and were thoroughly engaged through the process of rotating to each different career. Students left the career fair more informed about many different career paths. They also left with a mindset that with hard work and determination they can become or do anything they put their minds to.
