While on a four-day performing arts field trip to NYC (which included workshops
with professionals from Cats, Hamilton, and Something Rotten/backstage
tours/college tours/visits with Former students who are now working in New
York/experiencing the city--many for the first time!), one of RJR's juniors (Emily
Gaspar) became ill. She was diagnosed with Diabetes and spent several days in
ICU before being released to return home. Her father flew up to be with her.
Instead of selling tickets for the RJR Holiday Showcase held in December, the performing arts
students and teachers asked for donations toward Emily's medical expenses and
her father's emergency travel expenses. $1100 were raised. If you would like
to make a tax deductible donation for this cause, checks may be written to RJ
Reynolds High School with Student Medical expenses on the memo line. These funds
