Rachel
Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20,
1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion, coupled with the contents of
her six diaries,
have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school
programs in America, Rachel’s Challenge.
On May 19, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will host a special event showing how students and schools have responded to
and started a chain reaction of kindness.Featuring performances by students from Atkins High School, Bolton Elementary School, Brunson Elementary School, Flat Rock Middle School, Meadowlark Elementary School, Parkland High School, Reynolds High School and Walkertown Elementary School.Including a video appearance by Rachel’s father, Darrell Scott.Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Second Harvest Food Bank as part of our collective act of kindness.
