I It's hard to believe that we are approaching the middle of the third quarter. It continues to be a privelege to teach your child at Hanes Magnet School. We will soon be taking the third quarter EOQ's . We have a lot to accomplish before that time arrives, and I would appreciate your continued effort to keep your child well rested and focused as we begin to prepare for the last quarter of the 2012-2013 school year.
My own education began in New Jersey. I attended Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsyvania where I earned a BA in Social Work/Social Science. After moving to North Carolina, 16 years ago, I returned to school at University of North Carolina at Greensboro to earn a M.Ed. in Special Education, K12 - General Curriculum. I have been teaching ever since! This is my eighth year as a teacher of exceptional children. I believe that teachers, parents, and students form a team. Teachers and parents support the student as he or she works to learn, and become successful at school.
