PowerSchool Parent Portal
PowerSchool Parent Portal is an online resource that gives parents access to their children's homework assignments, grades and more. It is replacing Parent Assistant, which many parents used in the past.
We are moving to PowerSchool Parent Portal because all school districts in North Carolina have changed student information systems from NCWISE to Home Base. The new interface is more user-friendly and will give parents access to:
- Grades and attendance
- Test results
- Grade history
- Attendance history
- Email notifications that can include your child's grades and school announcements
- Teacher comments
- School bulletins
- Calendars
PowerSchool Parent Portal opened to parents on October 1, 2013. The school district mailed unique access IDs and passwords to each student's home address at the end of September. Parents and guardians are now be able to use this information to set up their own accounts. Parents also can link multiple children to their accounts. The accounts are secure, so please make sure you don't share your information and passwords with anyone else.
