Officer D. T. Wemyss is an 14 year law enforcement veteran and has been serving with Kernersville Police Department since September of 2000. Officer Wemyss currently holds the rank of Master Police Officer II and served in the patrol division prior to being selected as School Resource Officer in May of 2009. Wemyss has been awarded an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Department of Justice and has completed more that 1600 hours of law enforcement training. In 2011 he was awarded with the distinguished CC McGee ward for outstanding contributions to school, law enforcement agency and community. He is a member of the NC Gang Investigators Association and the Forsyth County Crisis Intervention Team.
