English III - American Lit and Composition
I am honored to be working with the Career Center's juniors in English III American Literature and Composition, where we will be exploring many different pieces of writing from across the country and learning to read and critically analyze both fiction and non-fiction texts - all in an attempt to discover the diverse people and ideas that has made this country what it has become today. In addition to studying a wide variety of popular literary works by well-known American authors, we will be crafting composition pieces in a variety of genre, including reader response journals, analytical essays, research projects, and creative expression. During the first few days of school, your child will receive a packet of information that includes a list of my classroom expectations and procedures, as well as a tentative syllabus for the first quarter.
